Sales Support Engineer We are looking for a technical person in our Horsham PA headquarters. The primary responsibility will be to support the sales department with technical assistance, system engineering, headend design and small system designs. We are a 37 year old privately held distributor and manufacturer with facilities in Horsham PA, Orlando Fl and Oxford England. We are looking for a candidate with engineering experience in the cable television industry from headends and distribution to small system design. Candidate qualifications are current Cable TV or related industry knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will need to have normal computer skills as well as some knowledge of AutoCAD design. The successful candidate will need to have good personal and communication skills, able to convey technical issues to non technical people, able to help teach our sales people new technologies, as well as oversee our headend department where we custom build headends. Some of the job requirements are: Coordination of the building of headends we do for customers. Make as built drawings in a AutoCAD system. Work with sales people on system designs we do for customers. Often the designs are sent to us on AutoCAD. Both RF system and Fiber system designs are necessary. Typically the systems are small ranging from hotels or apartments to small gated communities (1000 subs). Supporting customers on the phone with technical issues. Testing equipment we receive back from customers. Inspect and random test inventory we purchase from our suppliers. Learn the new technologies the industry is moving towards and train the sales people on this. Evaluate new equipment samples. Training of our sales people and customers. On occasion it may be necessary to go visit customers or participate at trade shows.
