Custom Built Headends from Toner Cable Equipment, Inc.

Since 1978 our technicians have been prepackaging headends for our customers and in that time we have built in excess of 5500 headends which vary from a single wall rack to a 40 rack 180 channel system.

Why Toner Cable Should Be Building Your Next Headend

We have the experience, knowledge and materials to do it right the first time. If it is a single headend or 500 headends, we can do them for you. In the past two years we have completed large projects for customers that included 500 headends for digital to analog conversion, 220 headends for a school district and 335 headends for an MSO. These jobs were completed on time and under budget.

We are also building complete digital headends for cable operators that are making the transition to digital. The headends included the conditional access system so they can provide tiered service, premium pay channels and even pay per view.

We recently built four complete 140 channel digital headends for the US Government which included SD and HD encoders for content contribution as well as encoding satellite feeds.

We build headends for almost any application such as Cable television, Private Cable, Distance Learning, MMDS, Private Industry, Gated Communities, Utilities, Federal, State and Local Governments, Prisons and Broadcasters.

Why do so many customers rely on Toner for their headends? We think it is because we pay attention to their requirements and build them the headend they need with the equipment they want. We are a stocking distributor for more than 30 manufacturers of headend electronics.

This allows us to offer many options and use the best of what each manufacturer offers.

Building a headend takes more than a crimp tool and a screw driver. It takes detailed knowledge of the equipment, its function, how pieces work together and with today’s digital products, programming and support.

We maintain an inventory in excess of 2 million dollars in headend electronics, digital equipment, fiber optics and related accessories. This means we can build a headend quickly if necessary but even more importantly we have spares available should a failure occur.

Call us to design and build your next headend, we can save you time and money and remove any uncertainties that you are choosing the best configuration and equipment.

We have just about everything you could use or need in a headend including: Modulators, Satellite, Receivers, Combiners, SD Encoders, Multiplexers, Demodulators, Character Generators, Digital Demods, Media Converters, Routing Switchers, SD / HD Players, Event Players, Reverse Optical Receivers, Conditional Access Servers, Multi Screen Panels, Transcoders, Processors, QAM Modulators, Splicers, HD Encoders, Amplifiers, Optical Transmitters, Digital Processors, EDGE QAM Modulators, Stereo Generators, Multi Screen Splitters, Digital Recorders, CMTS, SNMP Systems, Monitors, Analyzers, Digital Servers.
